The visit to the Taj Mahal was one of the highlights of Israel Prime Minister’s short visit to Uttar Pradesh.
Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during a short visit to Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, discussed on various important issues with the State’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
“A lot of issues especially exchange of technology in agriculture, irrigation, water and waste management in urban areas and other sectors were discussed. Overall, it was a very positive meeting in the context of the betterment of the state’s youth, farmers and also the development of the state as a whole,” Yogi Adityanath told ANI.
At a meeting in Agra, the two leaders discusses the various way by which they can improve the lives of farmers residing in Uttar Pradesh. They also talked about various state’s projects in which the Israeli government will provide their full support. The critical subjects of water conservation, water recharging and drip irrigation were also discussed in context of the depleting water table in the drought-prone Bundelkhand.
A government( Uttar Pradesh ) spokesperson has confirmed that with the support of Israel, the state government will be setting up two centres of excellence for horticulture and food processing in Basti and Kannauj district.

The state’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, seems very optimistic after the meeting and said that the talks with the Prime Minister was “extremely positive”, and would pave the way for exchange of technical knowledge in future.
“I have faith that through the exchange of technology and in the interests of farmers in mind, the talks will move forward. We will try to bring a smile to the faces of farmers through the use of technology,” he said to the media after the meeting.

Mr. Netanyahu along with his wife Sara visited the Taj Mahal during their visit to Uttar Pradesh. He called the iconic monument ‘a place of serenity, love and infinite beauty’.
Meanwhile, Mr. Netanyahu will be heading towards the financial capital of India, Mumbai. There he will meet India’s top business tycoons like, Mukesh Ambani, Anil Ambani, Gautam Adani, Kumar Mangalam Birla, etc. He will also pay tribute to the victims of the 26/11 terrorist attack.
